Portfolio Check

Today we had a portfolio check and I was really unprepared. I couldnt find my flashdrive so I had use my final draft from turnitin.com. I havent really had a budget so it was sort of hard to make a budget.

I blogged so much after i realized how much that it actually hurt my grade. So I hope that mrs. hall will take that into consideration.

CD?

To be honest I have been so lazy in getting my CD done, I had to go on a field trip after the presentation, so I was unable to get it done. And the weekend came. So it made me a little more lazy.

I do hope that they still have the memory stick so I can make my CD

Practicum Update

I have finished 10 hours with my mentor!!

This is due from some time at the national adoption day and the time that we spent at th MAPP class. Its been great working with her and Im excited to finish my last 5 hours.

My next five hours I think is going to take place in attleboro at her boss' MAPP class. Im excited and i might even speak a little!!

Product is done! ...kinda

On the 12th of December a friend of mine and I traveled to Fall River to the MAPP class to present my powerpoint presetation and complete my product. I had to stand up in front of a class and present my presentaion. My presentation consisted of different ways to be a good parent.

It was only a 15 min presentation, however I did answer a lot of questions retaining to my experience in foster care and the adoption process.

The thing that really touched me is when the people were saying: "ugh, I just want to take home a Randy!!"

Starting Over

So yesterday I received some bad news. Its going to be hard for me to make a video presentation. Due to difficulties with getting everything I need...I need to change angles of how I'm going to approach this project.

Last night, I spent all night thinking and thinking and thinking and thinking and thinking about how to establish another product idea.

                      Maybe produce an educational presentation that I can present in front of the MAP class.
                      A fundraiser?
                      Portfolio of some sort? I don't know

I have a lot of thinking to do.        

Research Paper

I need to fix my research paper ASAP!!

I'm thankful for the opportunity to finish my research paper and Im sure it will be an okay grade.
I was happy to do this research paper because I learned a lot about myself and others that have gone through the process.

I hope ill know my grade soon!

Mentor Update/ Hours

November 16th is almost here!!

NATIONAL ADOPTION DAY!!

This is a great day for many younger children and even teenagers of all ages. They are adopted on this day in Brockton at the court house.

Its a big celebration with food and important people and news cast people...I went last year and was the keynote speaker. It was exciting.

Hopefully I can get some hours done!

Product Update

Today i need to head to panther TV to get a volunteer to help me with my product.
My product is going to be good if everything goes well.

MAP CLASS:

This is a class that every person that wants to adopt needs to attend. Sometimes they are the Massachusetts Maritime, Jordan's Furniture, and sometimes at the DCF office. Its just like a class that tells about the process and other duties as a foster care/adoptive parent need to accomplish.

My product idea:

To create a documentary/informing/welcoming/heartwarming video that can be played on the first class of every session, just to welcome the parents.

Maybe even have the video put online on their website.

IM EXCITED TO FINISH!

Lets Recap

Sooooooooooooooooooo today, we have been talking about who is going to the mentor breakfast. Haylee and I dont have any one comming to the breakfast due to other duties that our parents and mentors have to attend.

Yesterday I learned that we had to do a presentation on what we learned throughout the process. Am i the only one that doesnt know about this presentation?? Cant wait to get started.
Been trying to get ahold of my mentor, to set up some dates so we can get together. Cannot wait to set up some hours so we can get started on our PRODUCT!!!

Happy Birthday Desiree

OMG! Today is Desiree;'s BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!!!! WoooWhoooooo!!! Shes 18!! Shes legal!! .....so much responsibility!! And no Desiree is not pregnant.

We have two weeks left of this research paper. We need to fight through and get these papers done on time and complete. My goal this week is to finish my research paper and have the total of 10 pages and to complete my research paper!

To be honest, after doing 5.5 pages of my research paper (which is pretty good since my name is mr. procrastinator, and ive basically been banging this essay in the last week) I have learned a lot about adoption and even myself!

Whats your deal!

So today we started to look at everyones blogs...and nobody seems to like my posts I think that they are actually pretty darn swell. So take your criticism and take it somewhere else. My blog is a positive blog because positivity is what is getting me through this project.

Now to my project! I have been getting a lot done in the past couple weeks and I am happy!

I have finished the cover letter early! I'm doing sooooo well in this class...

Chunking

Mrs. Hall told me that I should have 4 posts by this time so I am going to post about all the stuff we learned about chunking our research paper! I learned so much during this class time! :)

And the Rearch Paper begins...

Well, as we all know, Senior Project is a bunch of hard work and motivation. So lets bang out these research papers and end the term with a sort of positive attitude toward Senior Project!
